LSUA Scholarships Scramble

LSUA Athletics is hosting an inaugural Scholarships Scramble on Friday, June 21 at Oakwing Golf Club with proceeds benefiting 5th year scholarships for LSUA student-athletes.

The event begins with a lunch at noon followed by a 1:00pm start time. Registration is $400 for a team (four-some), $125 for a tee sponsor sign, or $475 for a team and a sign. There will be over $3,000 in total prizes and one lucky golfer could win a new GMC truck with a hole-in-one.

Gulf Coast Shrimp & Jazz Festival - Lake Charles

If you're looking for a celebration of Louisiana food, Jazz music, and culture, you'll find it during the Gulf Coast Shrimp & Jazz Festival. The festival kicks off with "Jazz After Dark, An Evening to Remember", starting at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The gates open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. A free Jazz Workshop will be held from 9:00–11:00 a.m., following with live music acts, a Jazz Exhibit and of course, the shrimp dish cook-off

Take I-20 exit 85, hit Hwy 167 South and follow the crowd into downtown Ruston for the 69th Annual Louisiana Peach Festival. Overflowing with fun, the street will be filled with music, exciting events, artisans, and vendors, and the best part of all, deliciously sweet peaches, treats, and peach ice cream!
